Submission rules
This is the publishing line for PlayKovo. Games that are playable, honestly represented, and family-safe clear review fastest. Everything here applies to every submission, hosted or embedded.
Where PlayKovo stands today
PlayKovo is a new, early-stage platform. We would rather be upfront about exactly what is live, what isn't, and where we're headed than let you find out mid-submission.
What's live today
Submission, automated scanning, human review, and hosting are all running now. Ads currently run only on games PlayKovo embeds itself — games uploaded by developers do not show any ads yet while we finish building that system.
What isn't live yet
Ads and revenue share for developer-submitted games are not active. We are building that system now so it can switch on cleanly; ads on developer games, and any revenue tracking, will start from the day it launches, not retroactively.
Where we're headed
Our goal is to have it active before 2027. That is a target we are working toward, not a guaranteed date — we would rather say this plainly now than promise a number we cannot back yet.
What governs a submission today
A dedicated publisher agreement covering payout terms is still being finalized. Until it ships, this page and the general terms of use are the actual rules that apply to your submission.
PlayKovo Mobile app
Our native mobile app is still in development and is not live yet. If your game supports mobile, we already ask for your explicit permission during submission to distribute it there once it ships — nothing goes to mobile without that opt-in.
What we publish
Playable browser build
Ship either an HTML5 ZIP we host, or a stable HTTPS URL we can embed. ZIPs must contain index.html at the root or inside a single top-level folder. Unity, Godot, GameMaker, Construct, PlayCanvas and Flutter web exports are all fine.
Rights and licensing
Submit only games you own, license, publish, or have written permission to embed on PlayKovo. Artwork, audio, and fonts inside the build need to be cleared too, not just the code.
Honest store listing
Thumbnail, cover, video, and description have to match the game a player actually gets. No borrowed footage, no screenshots from a different game, no keyword stuffing.
Safe ad behavior
No forced redirects, fake buttons or fake close icons, popups outside the game frame, real-money gambling or casino mechanics, adult content, or unsafe financial promotions.
Player fit
PlayKovo is built for a broad, family-safe audience. Ads, monetization, and any external link need to hold up for that whole audience, not just for what would pass with teens or adults.
Works on a phone
Unless you mark the game desktop-only, it should be usable on a mid-range phone with touch controls and the orientation you declared.
What gets rejected
×index.html missing, or the build only runs from a local file path.
×Blank screen, console errors on load, or a broken first level.
×Assets or code you cannot show permission for.
×Ads that cover the play area, auto-open tabs, or mimic system dialogs.
×Real-money gambling, adult, hateful, or shock content.
×A store listing that misrepresents the game.
×Trackers or network calls that send player data off PlayKovo.
How review works
Step 1
Automated checks
Your ZIP is unpacked, its structure validated, every file type checked against an allowlist, and the whole bundle scanned for malware before it is ever served.
Step 2
Human play-test
A moderator opens the game, plays it, and compares it against your store listing on both desktop and mobile.
Step 3
Decision
You get an email either way. A rejection names the specific reason so you can fix it and resubmit, and resubmitting costs you nothing.
Before publishing, each submission may go through automated security checks and manual play-testing by the PlayKovo review team. Your build stays private throughout review.
After approval
Your build stays yours
You keep ownership. PlayKovo gets the right to host and display the game while it is published, and nothing more.
Changes can trigger re-review
If a hosted build is replaced or an external URL starts serving different content, the game can be reviewed again.
Removal
We can unpublish a game that breaks these rules, that a rights holder disputes, or that becomes unplayable. You can ask us to unpublish yours at any time.
